HEALTHY LIFE

THE SEVEN PILLARS OF HEALTH

]

What I am soon discovering, as I lose 12 kilograms, weight loss is not a matter of standing on a scale and hoping for the best. Before you start any eating programme, you need to consider 7 important factors regarding your overall health. To shift your weight you need to shift your mindsight and begin to make different choices about what is important to you.

These 7 pillars are:

THINKING RIGHT: Before you start on any health programme, make you sure you have a dream of why this is important to  you. List 10 reasons why your most important asset is your health. As you begin your health/weight loss journey, consider these points each  day. Negative and pessimistic thinking will slow you and your body down. Move to the positive in your life.

EAT RIGHT: It seems obvious – what you put in your mouth affects your health. For instance, it’s important to eat a rainbow of  fruit and vegetables to fully benefit from all these nutrients. I offer an amazing range of supplements that offer you just that – all the fruit and veggies in an easy to swallow tablet. No chemicals – the real thing. I can also show you a new way of eating that has worked successfully for me.

MOVE RIGHT: Yes, moving gets you going. Your endorphins are activated, your metabolism increases, and you begin to enjoy boundless energy. Dance, walk, crawl, but move. As you get older it’s so important to remain active. The average is 10 000 steps a day.

DRINK RIGHT: No, I’m not talking about alcohol. I’m talking about water. Especially with the poor quality of water during a drought, it’s important to drink pure water. Water that has filtered all organisms, bacteria, hormones, faeces, grit. There is no better system than the water purifier I use and fully believe in. Believe me, pure water can save your life.

SLEEP RIGHT: More than anything a good night’s sleep helps to heal your body. Make sure you sleep in a dark room and you have a calming bedtime ritual. Drink some chamomile tea and focus on calm deep breathing as you go to sleep.

TALK RIGHT: More important than the food you put in your body, is the way to speak to yourself and others. Harsh, angry words close your energy field and over time this hurt and rage can turn into disease. Before you speak out, think if what you are saying is positive or helpful.

PLAY RIGHT: Do you remember a time when you just enjoyed being young and vibrant? For one day a week play with your inner child. Focus on all the beauty and fun around you and make the time to just be playful again.
